"My son has been working with Shannon for the past three years. He absolutely loves when she breaks out the Munchy Ball! Little does he know this fun activity was helping make his hands stronger. His kindergarten readiness skills (cutting, writing letters, drawing) greatly improved as a result of consistent use. We are grateful for Shannon and her Munchy Ball!"

"My handwriting class quickly morphed into a hand strengthening class! Children were just not ready to write, to put pencil to paper. Shannon’s materials were fun, engaging and over the course of month, the staff saw an increase in children’s ability to sustain strength during fine motor activities. Play dough activities became more purposeful with the extruder and the explanations of how to use play dough mats worksheets brought creativity and fun. Two handed Munchy Ball play quickly became one hand to open his mouth and one hand to feed. Control of the flow of glue became apparent not only in grip and glue activities but for all gluing activities during art. The result…more control and more confidence when writing."

"My students were excited to try the Munchy Balls for a STEM activity I had prepared. They did have some difficulty squeezing the ball to "eat" up the objects but enjoyed trying. I can see how the continued use would improve their grip. We also used the glue dot worksheets that were fun, colorful and theme oriented. Our students have shown improvement in "squeezing gently" and control of dot size. Thank you Shannon for developing and sharing these resources!"

"The box was so much fun to open! After opening the box, the bright blue tissue paper is the next to open! My granddaughter was most interested in the containers filled with pompoms, gems and little figures. When I told her Munchy Ball was hungry she loved feeding Munchy Ball. Instruction was required, but she quickly got the hang of it. She was thrilled with her blue play dough, the extruder, scissor rand tweezer and we practiced using Shannon’s instructions to play with each play dough mat. The material continues to be used and reused, whether Munchy Ball is eating or gems are hiding in play dough. Shannon’s explanation of how to use the materials and the components of hand strength made this box a fun learning tool for both me and my granddaughter!"
